  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • in my apprenticeship i am always occupied, on Mondays i am in the class room learning everything i need to know about engineering during my engineering B-TECH lessons. From Tuesday to Friday I am down in the workshop doing practical work also towards my engineering B-TECH i have done many things in the workshop such as milling and electronics

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i have learn't many new skills since starting my apprenticeship, for example down in the workshop i have done a lot of new things, for example i have done, hand fitting, milling, welding, electrical, electronics, PLC's, hydraulics, pnuematics. i have also learnt how to count in binary during my B-TECH lessons

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i really enjoy my apprenticeship, it has given me the opportunity to embrace my inner engineering skills and to discover the skills that i didn't already have. It is very enjoyable since i have made lots of friends and my tutors have made me feel at home that makes me happy.
