  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work a lot with MI data (management information), so creating reports which are involved with sales, performance, illness, delays etc... Also deal with the Cabin Crew equipment so the iPads they have on board to use for their day to day roles. Then I also do some system work creating new systems and processes.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt lots of new skills, personally my teamwork and communication skills have improved immensely, as I am having to use them everyday. my computer and excel skills are continuously improving and I am learning to use new specialised systems in my role which help with day to day work

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is excellent for what I wanted in my first 'proper' job. I didn't know whether I wanted to go to university or get a job. So fortunately I was able to get this job so I can learn and earn and don't get the debt of university.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured as we have set weeks out where we go to university and learn everything we need to be able to complete the assignments we are set, then in terms of work we are put into 4 work roles of the 4 years and get to see every side of the business.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support both from my team in my role and from the university and the learning team at TUI. I have 20% on the job learning which allows me to either learn new things or work on my university work, this is good as it will give me a small break from my day job.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • As above, the university come into the business and we have 1 to 1's with them to check our progress. how we are getting on, how our assignments are going etc... They also check in on how our roles are going and if we are getting the support we need from the training team at TUI

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The Management degree will continue to help me throughout my time at TUI as I will be continuously learning both on and off the job. The things that I learn at university I will be able to apply to my day job so I will be getting better at that and will gain more experience.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many, netball, running, walking clubs in terms of exercise and then there are many social clubs which you can join for example there is even a knitting club, also there are social events which are usually in high demand, for example the launch of one of the new cruise ships which has to be tested out my employees.

  • 9a. Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Its such a good business to work for, everyone is so friendly and kind. The benefits that you can receive here are second to none and they have a very flexible way or working. It has also given me the opportunity to work in Sweden for a few days so experiencing other cultures too.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • Be yourself, if you aren't then people will soon suss you out and that isn't a good thing to do, with first impressions and all that. Also be relaxed, the environment that you could possibly work in is very that, so trying to implement some of that into your own behaviour and then also keeping that serious side.
