Internal Sales Executive Review

Over the course of my apprenticeship I have been learning technical sales. Tech Data and GK Apprenticeships have provided me with all the learning a resources I need to be able to get where I am now. The training in phenomenal. On a day to day basis I am a Sales Executive.

I have never been provided with so many learning sessions and resources at any other job until I worked at Tech Data. One of the requirements for the apprenticeship was to pass a CompTIA Exam, this has dramatically improved my overall knowledge of IT and helps me everyday in my job role.

Each Day is different at Tech Data, that is what makes it a very fun, enjoyable place to work.

The programme was very well organised considering the group I was in where the first group of apprentices at Tech Data. The training was put into place where we needed it, so we where ready for each hurdle. The structure of the programme was planned out so we where ready for the next.

So much support has been given to me by my employer. As well as Tech Data as a whole. Someone is always happy to support you. A 1 to 1 is put into place very week by my manager just to see how i'm getting on, advice and just further actions to take.

GK Apprenticeship are very good at steering you towards your ambitions. Our coach is very supportive, motivated and helpful. Natural Training was very useful when gaining the confidence on the phone to customers. which has enables me to get one step closer to my apprentice qualification. I also get action plans after every visit with my coach, which gives me 4-5 things to do before I see him next. This is a very good way to be able to progress.

Without Natural Training I don't think I would have the confidence that I do now on the phones. This helps me perform better in my role as it taught me a lot about handling calls better and it gave me a lot of techniques which is helpful when planning a call.

Every year there is an End of Year Party which celebrates all the work everyone has done. It is usually a sit down meal and party afterwards. There is also a football team which get together every Thursday. To be honest it is very easy ti make friends at Tech Data so there is always socials happening.

I would recommend to a friend because it is such an enjoyable place to work. There are never dull days, and every day is different. There are so many opportunities available for all employees. If you wok hard you will get rewarded at Tech Data. Tech Data always have call out days which is an opportunity to win prizes for doing your day job.

From day one get networking with everyone around the office - it's not what you know, it's who you know. Take every opportunity that is given to you, however small or big. Take advise from your superiors as they are only trying to help you progress and be the best you can possibly be.
