  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • As the firm is Japanese I recently went on a very interesting course on the topic of Japanese Culture Awarness. For my internal trainning with the firm I have also been on a 'Getting it right at work' course and have completed some online financial awarness courses aswell as a business writing course. The programme team at Nomura also give us trainning sessions on business writing, our own personality types and teamworking. I have definetely developed my business writing and can tailor my e-mails confidently to the reciepent.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have a fantastic supportive team at work that allows me to get the most out of the programme. For the wider HR divison, they are very helpful and always willing to put in some time to talk to me about certain subject matters that are occuring in my assignments and online classrooms with my trainning provider. I enjoy working at Nomura, an apprentischip was something I had never considered before and felt too old at 21 to do an apprentiseship, however I am treated like a normal employee at the firm, with respect and have learnt so much from my expereinces at work, more so than I would have done by only learning with my trainning provider.
