i check my emails and then complete any tasks that I need to complete for that day.i then ask my manager if there is anything that he would like me to do. attend meetings for the projects that I'm working on and complete any tasks relating to those projects.
I've have definitely developed many different skills including my computer software skills, I am have become better at Word and Excel which I used quite frequently. Also I have developed my writing skills and I am able to write in a formal manner through my constant use outlook and emailing
i really enjoy my programme, it is definitely a better option than going to university, all my work for my apprenticeship is easily accessible and I take one day a week to focus on my studies and listen to the lectures that I can access online. the programme is very interesting.
The apprenticeship programme is very well structured, I come into the office 4 days a week from Tuesday- Friday and on Mondays I take a study day which I used to listen to my lectures and make notes. Everything is very clear and nicely planned and we are given a schedule which we should follow regarding the learning side of the apprenticeship
my employer is very supportive of my apprenticeship, they allow me time each day of the week to dedicate to my studying and during exam periods we are given extra time off in order to focus on our exam. I have a weekly catch-up with my manager to see how I'm getting on and a time for me to ask any questions.
the training provider is also very useful and helpful, they have provided me with all of the material that I needed and are always there is I have any questions. I have an apprentice manager from the training provider who I meet monthly to discuss the progress of my qualification
the information that I learn through the training provider for my apprenticeship is very useful, it allows me top apply my knowledge to my day to day work. it has allowed me to have a deeper understanding of the work that goes on around me and has definitely made me perform better in my role.
There are many different extra curricular activities at my workplace for everyone to get involved in. Each month we volunteer a couple of hours to help the community, the activities change each month. there is also a weekly visit to the local school to help children with maths and reading. on top of that there are man sporting activities including football, netball and running clubs.
Yes
I would definitely recommend the FCA to my friends as it is an amazing place to work where the people are very welcoming and accepting of everyone. the FCA is a very multi-cultural workplace and therefore no one would ever feel left out. furthermore the fca is a great company with a lot of opportunities.
for those who are thinking of applying I would tell them to do it! it was one of the best experiences I have had. I would tell people to be confident in their interview and be themselves. they should not be afraid to take lead and they should be proud of themselves for being able to get to whatever stage they get to.
