  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • The work experience involved me the leading groups of people through the tasks and helping them. Also presenting my work in front of the tax managers and also communicating with everyone in the team. Also completed a lot of tax worked questions to see what the questions would look like.

  • 2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
  • I have learnt team leading skills as i had to lead a team of people through the task which was very useful. Also i learnt to have good communication with the team so i could do all of my work correctly without getting any questions or tasks wrong and wasting company time

  • 3. To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?
  • I really enjoyed the work experience because it was very useful provided you with a level 2 cmi qualification in team leading also it made me get used to a work environment as i have never worked in an office before which now i could go work in an office environment without being scared

  • The work experience was really organised as everything we were going to do each day was said at the beginning of the day and we were given time constraints to do the work and when we were finished we started a new task straight after that which lead to our group being successful

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • This experience has taught me a lot about the company culture as i whent there for a month and felt welcome every single day working there. Also i know what it is like working there as they welcome us to join in with the task and complete some of the harder task which the normal worker were doing

  • 6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • The work experience basically moulded my futire as i did not know what i wanted to do before this. This helped me as i can now focus on doing tax accountancy after doing eirher an apprenticeship or going to university to complete a degree in accountancy after my time in college.

  • 7. Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?
  • I was not reimbursed for travel as we were getting paid to work at EY for a month we were getting paid the national minimum wage £5.90 per hour which they said rhe money we get paid should cover the gost of any travel costs occured from travvelling to work.

  • There was plenty of opportunities for networking with and meeting new employees as they gave us time to go get familar with some of the employees which they could help mentor us throughtout the whole of the work experience also we had talks from business professionals which we could meet and talk to

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It had a great work environment also the teams and staff were very helful and did not mid helping me when i was stuck on a question the yencouraged me to carry on with the work when i could not do it so this was actually very useful to me


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Make you have double checked that you have answered all of the questions correctly as you may not be able to change it and also double check that all of the details are correct when applying so they do not disregard the application as you entered your details in wrong
