I am an administrator so I do a lot of admin tasks. I do a lot and by that I mean all I do basically is to do with finance. I make credit card purchases and raise invoice requests. I keep track of these purchases and invoices and make sure we have enough money on the cards.
I do not think I have learnt any new skills as I understood how to manage money and make purchases before I started. I have learnt to use new systems so I suppose that could count. Mostly I am working on my communication and organisation skills as that is what is key to my role.
I really do enjoy what I do within my role. I would like to do a little more because I am left bored and just trying to fill my time some days, but I am still new and plan to change this and get more involved the longer I am here.
It is pretty well structured although I do have to say it was not until after I had already started that I found out the extent of what I would be doing and how much studying I would have to do. Other that that I think the structure it's self is good
Not a lot I must say, a little more would be nice. I am just left to my own devices honestly but that has more to do with my role as I focus on finance and the rest of my team, do not. If I need help though my team are more than willing to give it.
I have had two meeting and they were both pretty much the same. However, I am still quite new so hopefully over time this opinion would change but only time will tell. I haven't started any courses or anything yet so once I have I might have a different opinion.
I don't think it does and I have nothing more to say really. I could do what my role entails without having an apprenticeship attached, to it really. I feel like I need to do it lo0nger to really see how if the apprenceship is helping me perform better in my role.
I do not know if it falls under extra-curricular activities but my work place has a GAP community for graduates and apprentices and they provide opportunities to get involved in a lot of activities away from the desk, in schools for example. There are lots of projects for me to join as well.
Yes
I think they treat their employees well. They have a really good network for apprentices, who they do not treat as inferior just because they are on an apprenticeship. They understand work life balance and are very accommodating if you need to work from home or do slightly different hours some days.
Ask questions to GP strategies before you start as they will not tell you a lot of what the apprenticeship stuff actually entails. Go in with a good attitude to work and a want to be busy. Don't be scared to ask for help or ask questions people are really nice. Don't worry if you are a little slow to learn something new.
