  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since I've joined PSA Group, my communication skills have improved massively. When I first started I was shy and nervous but this is no longer a problem. I use my desk phone, skype for business and face to face communication whilst I'm at work. I've also learnt how to be independent.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It took me some time to settle into my job role but now I'm 7 months into it I am enjoying it a lot more. I have a few friends within my department which makes my experience better as I feel part of the team. This apprenticeship is much better than I thought it would be.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is well structured, not only do I have a real job role within the group, I also have to complete a lot of tasks to pass my apprenticeship. I meet with my mentor regularly and we discuss whether I have any problems and he will help me out.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. I needed the support when I first started at PSA Group but now I've been here for over 7 months I'm much more independent. However if I do ever get stuck, I will speak to my manager for help and I will receive it.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive quite a bit of support from my training provider if I ever need it. I will drop an email to my mentor and he will respond very quickly with some help. It is very rare that I ask for help from my mentor as I don't seem to struggle with my tasks.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Part of my qualification is to do off the job training, this consists of completing a lot of e-learning modules. This includes a range of different topics which I have to read about and eventually answer questions about the topic. These topics include communication and teamwork, which of course is a major factor of my job role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Whilst I was two months into my new job role, a colleague of the similar age had emailed me to ask if I was interested in taking part in the football activity which a lot of the employees do here. This takes place on a monday night and around 15 employees attend.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Stellantis to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend PSA Group to a friend because its a very good experience to work within such a large company. All of the employees are very friendly and helpful and I'm glad I took the opportunity to work here. Not only that, I also gain a qualification from this experience.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Stellantis?
  • The advice I would give to others applying to PSA Group would be that to put a lot of effort into your application, because this is a really good experience to get at such a young age. Act yourself whilst being interviewed and don't be nervous as everybody is friendly.
