  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In my role I have to call out to customer enquiring to whether they would like a energy quote for their business. It also involves sending emails with detail about collecting the correct information to gain a quote. Along side this I also have to compete my apprenticeship work for my qualification.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt to build up my conversation skills and how I interact with people within work and on the phone. I have increased my IT skills which is need for the amount of computer work that is involved in the role. Also my confidence has grown massively since being in the role.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my role a lot, I am in a great team with lovely people that are always willing to help you out. I have lots of support so I know I'm not alone and that is very reassuring when I'm coming into work. I enjoy everyday and its mouthing new each time you come into work

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is structured well we have planned meeting with our training provider so we know where we are at with our education side of the role. We also have a structured week within the work side with set breaks, 1 to 1 so we can see how we are doing.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We get lots of support within the role not only from the apprenticeship team within eon but from our manager and the training provider itself. There are lots of scheduled meeting to see how we are getting on and if we have any questions or worries. They are always willing to listen and help.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • When the training provider is in to see us we have lots off support they ask lots of questions to see how were getting on and reassure us lots. We also know that if we needed any help from them that we can email and they will get back to us with all the help and support thy can.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Within doing the qualification If feel as though I know the role better as we are learning about it a lot more in depth. Also with the training provider we are learning about ourselves and how we perform so that we can see what we need to work and improve so our service is as good as it can be for the customers we are contacting

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We recently had Celebrating apprenticeship day where there was lots of awards showcasing what the apprentices do this was great t see that eon value there apprentices. There are lots of other activates that go on outside of work that are all tailored around apprenticeships such as talking in schools.

  • 9a. Would you recommend E.ON to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Before I started I heard if was an amazing place to work and since being here I can see that for myself there's always opportunity to rise up into higher roles. They taker care of there employees well. For example they have help line if you are feeling down they have an excellent support system.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON?
  • When applying on line give as much information as you can show why you should be hired. Make your self bold and stand out. Take as much time as you need don't rush applying make sure you have every detail about yourself so they can see how brilliant you are.
