  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Overall I would say I do enjoy my program, like most jobs it does have its dull moment but I would say most of the time I am busy and the work has thought behind it so it feels fulfilling once you have completed a task. I also like the people I work with, they are very supportive and I know if I am ever unsure of anything I can turn to them and ask for help if I need it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The work side of my apprentice is very well structured, I have been through my training and am constantly progressing and learning new skills and how to do different pieces of work. There is also a clear structure to the study side of my apprentiship, it is made clear from day 1 what I am expected to complete.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employers (Pfizer) are very supportive of my work. I was trained by the previous apprentice who did the same role as me and she supported me in my first few month, but also all of my co workers are very supportive. If I have any query's or questions I know I can always go to them for support.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • For my qualification I have to take 4 exams, I feel like my training provider does not provide enough support towards this exams. They gave me the course material and online access to recorded lectures and they say that once you have worked through them you should pass the exam. I have failed one of the exams twice now and am currently trying to get support but it does not seem like I will get any anytime soon.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A few of the exams I will be taking (I have not started the courses yet) relate to accountancy so I believe when I start those exams It will help me to understand my job more and i will be able to relate content from my exams to work I do here at Pfizer.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Pfizer to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The company is an excellent company to work for and they are very supportive in the development of apprentices. You will gain and improve many key life skills like your ability to communicate with others which is key no matter what you do and it will also give you confidence to work independently.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pfizer?
  • If I had to give advice to anyone applying to work at Pfizer I think it would be to go in with a positive attitude and be prepared to work hard. The work can be difficult but once you do it there is a great feeling of pride. Also it is best to go and make the most of the opportunity's you are given, Pfizer offers a lot of opportunity's, for example I have taken a few computer training courses which they provide to help me improve my skill set and also thanks to them I have also completed a STEM course and am now a qualified STEM ambassador.
