  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy the apprenticeship I am on and get on well with the leader of my apprenticeship. I find the meetings helpful and they develop my knowledge - The meetings let me explore the learning I have done independantly as well as adding to this after further discussion with my apprenticeship leader.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is clear and concise in what I will be covering in each session. This is followed up by work to do and prepare for ready for my next meeting. These meetings are usually once a month, which gives me enough time to explore my own independent learning based on a list of topics to look at. These topics are then further explored at the following meeting.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employers are very supportive of my apprenticeship and encourage me to develop my skills and learning. They allow me to put what I learn in to practice on shift and encourage me to make and stick to my own decisions with confidence. This makes leading shifts easier and run smoothly.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider is very helpful in terms of my learning and development of skills. Meeting monthly gives me chance to explore topics independently but the training provider is still available to help out when contacted if any help is needed. The training provider helps to expand on the independent study on each meeting.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification helps me to perform better in the role through helping me think in different ways to difficult situations. This means that I can adapt the way I work depending on every situation and come up with successful solutions. This helps on particularly busy shifts and when other managers are busy.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are district incentives to get involved in to encourage the team. There are then award nights which help with networking and meeting people from different sites. This also helps in seeing how different sites deal with different situations and busy nights. We also have team nights out that change to reward the team after working busy periods such as Christmas.
