Job Role - HR Business Support My daily tasks include opening post for the floor, references, work experience, recording Paternity Leave, stationary orders, Jury Service, Compromise Agreement invoices and Suject Access requests.
So far on my apprenticeship I have expanded my Microsoft Excel knowledge, continuing to progress in my Business and Admin qualification through first for skills and picking up different skills in the workplace on a daily basis. I have also gained an internal qualification in Customer Service.
After nearly being on my apprenticeship scheme for a year now I am really enjoying the programme. The team I work with are extremely helpful and supportive and create a happy work environment.
I do feel like a valued member of the HR Direct team and that all the tasks I do have a purpose and impact other members of the team in some way.
At the beginning of my apprenticeship it was very poorly organised by our learning co-ordinator from the external company First 4 Skills. However we have now got a new learning co-ordinator and it is very well structured and organised. Meetings are booked in advance and each meeting is structured and everything that needs to be completed is acheived. I also have a mentor in Fujitsu. We meet regularly on a monthly basis to discuss any matters arising or anything that my mentor can do to help me in deciding future careers.
The training provider First4Skills are extremely supportive. They answer any queries I may have and are easy to contact if we ever need them and are extremely supportive and eager to help me complete my apprenticeship to the highest standard possible.
Yes
Everyone is very welcoming and supportive.
I would encourage others to get involved in as much as possible as it is a good way to meet people in the organisation.
