  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have found the degree to be well taught, the university have been accommodating to the company and the closed programme has meant that lecture/seminar discussions are very relevant to our firm. The employer has been accommodating in study leave - both to attend university once a week during term time and also additional days off for assignments and portfolio work.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • This is the first time this degree apprenticeship has been offered in this department and has recently been rolled out to the first intake of school leavers. There have been some teething problems, as expected from a new programme, but the university, CMI and the employer have been working well together to tailor and clarify the programme where needed.

  • The employer have been flexible in terms of when study leave can be taken - from day release for weekly university time to additional days for assignments and portfolio work. The work place mentors are approachable and experienced, which is particularly helpful when discussing and evidencing the portfolio. There are a lot of experienced people to reach out to.

  • A large amount of the degree content is directly relevant to my role now or as I progress within the firm. The degree has helped me to reflect on my own styles in teams, leadership and learning and I am able to understand areas for development and how I can achieve these
