My Job role involves helping the solutions team with Prizmnet and making sure everything is updated on the Prizmnet side. Also I often work with Marketing with the sales campaigns and helping with them to ensure the they run smoothly and that are effective. Overall the job role is very versatile.
I have had to learn a lot of new systems like C4C and Excel. The good thing is once you learn the systems most other organsations use the same systems. I have also developed other social skills as I have to talk to a lot of people in my job role.
My Program is enjoyable Colt is a very good place to work as it others a flexible work life balance that a lot of organstations don't offer. The program its self is good as you do get a lot of hands on experence and you get too understand how Colt works.
The plan is well structured in terms of training from an internal point of view. I had a lot of training at the start in order to you ready for work. The education side isn't that well organised and they often do go back on what they say and often change the dates of assingments for no real reason.
Colt does its best to support us and it does show if we ever have a problem or query it is dealt with promptly. Colt gives us a flexble learning plan in which we can decide what day we use to do our education aspect of the apprenticeship which is a very good policy.
The training itself isn't too bad its the people that work for the training providers as we are doing a new course things where not clear at the start and are only a bit clearer now. The training provider often tells us one thing and then does another basically showing a lack of cohesion.
The qualfication does help for developing personal skills and genral work skills. However the qualfication doesn't help for our role directly as the qualfication is very generic. The problem is my role is so technical it would be hard for Colt to find a qualfication that fits my job role.
As part of my job role I get to go to a lot of networking events like all the FISD events and a lot of other events in capital markets. These events are really good and do give me a great understanding of capital markets industry. This is an area I really cannot fault Colt in.
Yes
As Colt has a good work life balance and really would be a good place to start your working life. Also it has great social events that run reguarly which helps everyone bulid better working relationships. Colt also offers very fair wages and does offer a very good benfits package.
I would make sure that you do resurch around Colt first and make sure you understand the technical side if you are looking for a sales role. Also do some resurch into the work life environment at Colt as if you understand how a company works it will give you a great advanatge.
