  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many skills since I've started and improved a large amount of skills. These include interpersonal skills as I meet different people every day, electrical and engineering skills from the training provided by Schneider as well as asking questions of experienced engineers whilst on site. I have also developed my time management and organisation.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme because of its varied nature. No two days are the same which is great for keeping it interesting as well as for learning. I've enjoyed the learning aspect of the role both at university / training school and on site working along side other engineers gaining there knowledge and experience.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised. There's a clear plan to what the programme is trying to achieve with us. However the programme is extremely flexible at the same time which is, in my opinion, the biggest plus of the programme. There is the flexibility to move between departments and try out different roles within the business whilst on the programme.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive lots of support from our training provider when working towards our qualifications. Whenever we're struggling on anything we can just ask in an email or call and they'll talk through whatever it is your struggling on until you understand it. Whether it's just clarifying one little thing or requires a diagram and an example, they'll do it so that you understand.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification I'm studying towards will help me to perform better in my role. Because my role is technical, the degree in engineering I'm working towards helps me to become a better engineer. Being a better engineer means I can solve problems quicker and more efficiently and effectively.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Schneider Electric to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • No other company will support you as much in your personal development as Schneider do. Schneider is a global leader in our industry, helping the world to become more energy efficient and to connect more people with electricity. We are also moving heavily into data analytics and digitization as a whole which will play a huge part in the future of the world. All things considered Schneider will always be in demand

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Schneider Electric?
  • If you're thinking about applying then do it. At least then if you get selected to go to an assessment center you can ask as many questions as you like of people who work in the business and get an idea of what the business is like and whether you would like to be a part of it.
