  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work within Sales and Marketing team and I produce weekly reports to the Director of the company. I assit with projects and work on my own projects that alignes with the business goals. I mostly work on Excel files and support with business's IT system with any enquires.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt and developed my skills during my time at Colt. My excel skills has been devloped from basic to advanced user, I am able to to communicate well with internal and external stakeholders, both written and verbal. Overall many of skills has been devloped in working in a coporate industry.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed my programme and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to gain skills and experience. The programme enables to explore interesting topics that is relevant within your job role and will help you at your work place. I am able to meet and interact with different people which is good.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme has been organised well and there are always support and guidance if needed. There are materials that are available if needed to help with studying for my qualification. For example, there are live webinars, coach and meet ups to attend which aids with my qualification. Utilising these materials will surely make make you pass and aim the highest grade in the qualification.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has been very supportive and encouraging! I am grateful that I have a very supporting manager, if there is anything I am unsure about, I will be able to have a conversation with my manger and it will resolved. Receiving support from your employer is beneficial as this helps when studying for my qualification.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider is able to provide unlimited support, as I believe if you ask for help, you will get the support you need and guide to be able to help when working on the qualifications. I had the opportunity to have a supporting coach who I can email and call if I need support when studying for my qualification which I appreciate.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification is able to help me perform better in my role because of the skills and knowledge I have gained from my training provider. The knowledge that I gain from my training provider are very beneficial as I am able to apply when working which enables me to perform better and understand my function. In addition my role also provides me to perform better when studying for my qualification as I am able to use the skills I have gained and then apply to my study.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many activities to get involved in my work place. CSR team are always having social activities and events that employees can get involved in. Many departments within Colt has professional networking events to attend to gain knowledge about field you may be interested in. There is always something going on within Colt!

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Colt is a brilliant place to be part of. I appreciate the opportunity that I had working for the company, i enjoy everything about the work place. The employees at Colt are lovely and welcoming to be around, the environment is peaceful and where Colt is located is a good area to be at.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Colt Technologies?
  • My tips and advice that I will give to others when applying to Colt Technologies, is to be yourself and be open to many opportunities and be open minded. My workplace provides many activities and events which may interest you, so you will have to be open minded when taking these opportunities and meeting lovely people who you can learn from.
