  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have conducted statutory and internal audits on a variety of clients. This involved interacting with the finance department on a daily basis and testing the financial statements of various companies, as well as the controls that clients have in place in order to ensure that the statements are presented adequately.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It provides me with interesting and meaningful work to complete and allows me to work with a variety of different people. I get to go on many away jobs which allows me to experience different cultures and backgrounds. It gives me a good insight as to what to expect when I join the company full time after university.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The support available throughout my placement has been excellent - I have always been able to ask questions and receive detailed guidance. A wide range of training courses were also provided at the start of placement. A good mentor system is also in place where you can talk to them about any issues you have.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive support on a daily basis. I never feel like I am stuck and don't know what to do to complete my work as someone is always there to help me perform my work and explain unclear points. Managers are very good at delegating work and make it very clear what is expected of you.
