  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • it is very well organised. i see my apprenticeship man every three to four weeks and get to do an hours work each week to help me complete the work. and when i need help i can always ask. When i need to learn new skills, i always have the support of my store manager and other memebers of staff when needed. I learnt a new skill at least every one to two weeks as once i have learnt the skill, i use the rest of the time to improve it.

  • i receive a lot of support from my employer from doing my apprenticeship work and just general day to day tasks. • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • i receive a lot of help from my store manager and my apprenticeship man when completing my work. My manager also helps me to learn new things to do throughout the shop floor. I am allowed to use the computer when research is needed and my manager helps me when i have any questions of what i am working on. And when i am struggling to understand something she gives me and example or physically shows me what it is if possible so i get the best understanding of the topic.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Because he helps me a lot and if i ever need to contact him and i can through email. He explains things when i dont understand and praises me when i get things correct. When he has explained something, i try and use it in my day to day work if appropriate at the time so i can focus on how to understand it better and he always lets me understand about both sides of the topic.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Unfortunately, there is no extra curricular activities that i participate in. However when it is someone’s birthday/ special occasion or season holiday, most memebers of staff get together to celebrate the occasion together such as christmas dinners or surprise birthday parties. Most members of staff have families so there is no time for extra things in or out of work.
