  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day role consists of many things, but mainly on job training whilst experiencing and feeling what it is like to work in such an environment. It varies from day to day helping both used sales and new sales, trying to enhance sales. Also training in Hadenham is ever present this year to enhance myself within the role.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt many new skills within the short period in the role. Mainly the exposure to consumer interaction, and dealing with consumer queries. As coming from an educational background these are all situations that I have never experienced. My communication skills have also been developed with constant interaction with the team.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I'm really enjoying the current programme as its something completely new for me. I mean the trucking industry is something that hadn't even crossed my mind till this point and so far the experience is proving very beneficial and promising. It will only improve further over time as I become more confident within the role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is structured to a certain degree. But unfortunately within a business environment things will always crop up that affect the current structure. However, for the most part its very its good and allows for an even balance between work and other tasks that are needed to be done to complete the programme.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider is okay in terms of support. Regular meetings are issued every month, providing myself with an update in regards to my progress. One thing that could be improved is that there have been instances when they have turned up without any prior notice and have had to be turned away.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification allows for a bit of substance behind the sales role. It just gives me more of an indication of how the role works and also gives opportunity of improvement to my current approach also. It gives a little educational in sight to the on job aspect of the role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

  • 9a. Would you recommend MOTUS Commercials to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Id recommend the company to a friend as my current personal experience has only been positive so far. Especially in the current team I am working in every is very much there to help and this is the kind of support I need, as it is completely a new experience for myself.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MOTUS Commercials?
  • Applying for Imperial Commercials was a very straight forward process for myself. For others you just need to be yourself and show willingness within the role you are applying for. As long as you give everything you can then you will be heading in the right direction. Also showing willing to of worked previously also goes a long way if you have been from an educational back ground like myself.
