  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • Melish Enginnering is a perfect place to work. Being introverted it was hard to talk to people but the staff working their are funny, hard working and caring. From the top (manager) and down to the bottom people, they were all nice to work with and always helping when I was in doubt. The machinery that is used is relatively new with safety labels and instructions everywhere. Only complaint is that the work is repetitive after a while and doesn't require much thought process.

  • It gave me an understanding of what a career in engineering would mean. However the repetitive work in certain areas and lack of challenge or interest in what the work was in itself had shown me that this type of engineering is not for me. • 7. Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?
  • No. Work Placement generally refers to a specified period of time that a person spends with your business, during which they have an opportunity to learn directly about working life and the working environment. Some work experience positions offer people the chance to try their hand at particular tasks, others simply provide an opportunity to watch and learn. This means that the company is not required by law to pay me.
