  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I mostly work the till. I do learn a lot of jobs such as how to monitor the top 30 shrinkage lines and how to do price checks to ensure the correct price ticket is displayed for customers. I also get an hour every week to complete my apprenticeship work.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is well set out and I haven’t had any issues with the structure of the program. I’ve just had a few technical issues now and again. I get plenty of support form my assessor who will explain things I don’t understand so I feel more confident.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I do receive support when I need it. I get shown how to do tasks and I am given support if I am unsure of how to do something. I don’t feel as if I’m left on my own to do a task if I am not sure.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Superdrug to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It’s a great place to shop and a great place to work with a friendly atmosphere. The apprenticeship is good because you get to pick if you’d prefer to learn more about customer service or more about the marketing and retail aspect. It’s very interesting and is definitely worth it.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Superdrug?
  • My advice would be to trust your ability to learn, this will reflect in your work. Working for Superdrug allows you to connect with customers so just be the best version of yourself and the job will come naturally to you. You’re very well looked after at Superdrug and they make sure you succeed.
