  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role at BT is working within a team of around 20 members to deliver global voice service. This means that we ensure that all calls are transmitted as required by our customers involving the building and configuration and then maintenance of those platforms. I am involved with configuring the calls

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I would definitely say that I have developed skills and that is despite only being with BT for 6 months. For example, communicational skills are a huge part of my day to day work. Whether that is talking to my colleagues about work or talking to external parties and having to cater for their needs.

  • I feel as though the qualification is a huge part. For my role, you receive qualifications from university and the apprenticeship. This to me, is a huge motivator as it means that all the work that I complete will have very strong purpose in the future for helping me get other jobs.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

  • 9a. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend BT to a friend because I already have to one of my mates! Like I have said in previous questions, I feel as though it provides a great platform for your future as BT are on one of the biggest telecom companies ever and that helps a lot

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • The tips that I would give to others include making sure you make a huge impact on your interview. You have to seem confident and willing to communicate and represent BT well. I think make sure you are aware of travel as that may become tiring if your work is far
