  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Learning new skills is why apprenticeships are so great. The skills learned are so vast there are too many to list. One of the biggest skills I have developed is attention to detail and analytics. Understanding the importance of perfection and analytics to ensure consistently great standards for all clients.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I think Apprenticeships should be enjoyed and if they are not, there might be something wrong with either set up or delivery. I enjoy my apprenticeship 95% of the time. There are always situations where things may not be as exciting as site visits and practical work however, I enjoy everything that I do.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Our programme is structure however, also some is not so 'structured' which is great as this gives apprentices a chance to give feedback and make changes if necessary. The studying we do, the mentorship we receive and support received from both University and workplace is excellent. Couldn't ask for better.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Support from employer is fantastic. Our employer - employee's rather, are reachable and if not the same day, as far as our Global President and CEO will always give email/call responses to us Apprentices and Graduates when they are available/as soon as they can. It's great to receive support from senior leadership, middle management and apprentices themselves.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Training provider gives us an excellent amount of support. Some things can be changed in regards to how training is delivered however overall, the new interim Head of Course is such a great leader and support. Always willing to give help as their attitude towards helping is 100% all the time. She will always give us guidance with issues we may face and always willing to give a helping hand.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Lot's of the things we do at University will benefit us at work either now, in our current roles, or when we move onto our graduate roles. All apprentices and graduates move around within the business, learning different teams, skills and clients. University allows us to apply academic study to workplace situations and benefits lots.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes - there are so many opportunities to give back and get involved with extracurricular activities. As part of this, I am involved in many things - Professional networking for apprentices, graduates and newly qualified chartered surveyors as well as leading the financial aspect of our internal diversity and inclusion scheme which has seen great benefits.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Cushman & Wakefield to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is such a fantastic, ever changing diverse workplace. Anyone and everyone is always available to help, with no question being a silly question. All are on hand and will reach out if they feel workload and University study may becoming a little too much to handle at any given moment.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cushman & Wakefield?
  • Be yourself - only to be yourself and you will succeed! The process of applying is a simple one compared to most. There are so many opportunities to get involved with additional things and the experience thus far has been truly beyond anything I wished to do - before I knew about a career in property, I applied to University to study Clinical Psychology with Mental Health.
