  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Being part of the store team and getting involved with store tasks. Doing deliveries twice a week and filling up the store. Advising customers on any products they’re interested in and answering any enquiries. I am also involved in cosmetics, where I organise the drawers, check the stock levels and update the stands.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think the programme is well structured and organised, my assessor comes to visit me every month and checks through all the work and has discussions with me and is preparing me for my end assessment and is giving me tips to help me get the best grade. She ensures I know what I am doing each month and I always know that I have everything I need but I know I can contact her to get advice.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Within the work booklets that I complete, there is a lot of extra information about my job role that I wouldn’t have known otherwise. The work touches on all different types of topics and covers everything, so I am continuously learning new things that I can use on the shop floor.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Within my work, we have team nights out, for example at Christmas, I can attend apprentice workshops and work in neighbouring stores, to gain more experience. We also take part in charity events involving Marie Curie and calendar events such as Halloween, where we can dress up for the occasion.
