1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

9/10

Serving customers. On the shop floor as well as on the tills. Helping customers with any enquires they have. Doing different tasks for example zero-to-zero, tester order, cosmetic updates, promotion change, collecting click and collect orders. Our targets will be selling star buys, health and beauty cards as well as Superdrug mobile sims. I will also help take out delivery and putting stock out.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

9/10

Iv become a lot more confident in tasks that I complete. Also my communication skills have grown as iv spoke to many different customers especially on the tills and shopfloor. You also learn how to work as a team and individually when completing tasks. Iv definitely learn new skills in selling as you need this when trying to sell customers star buys.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

10/10

I really enjoy the program as you learn a lot of new skills and you work with many different people and you also meet a lot of new people that you build a bond with and that customer comes into store regularly. With the responsibility I have with my role has made me become a more confident person.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

7/10

The tasks are very organised and I know what I need to do and complete in the amount of time I have been given. However towards the end for my end point assessment was a bit unorganised as it was a new criteria so it was very new to everyone.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

10/10

Iv received a lot of support from my employer as they made sure that tasks that I needed to do was there for me to do and any thing I wasn’t sure on they helped me through all my tasks as well as the models I needed to complete on the ipad.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

10/10

I was able to phone or message my training provider with any problems I had or anything I didn’t understand. They wanted me to do well and helped me to do so. Also on every visit they told me what I need to work towards as well as what I need to do to improve.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

10/10

Wanting to get that qualification made me work hard and do the best that I can do. Also within the qualification you learn so much about customer service and the company. That helps you perform your best to help the customers to give them the best experience. The qualification also teaches you how to juggle tasks and customer service at the same time.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

9/10

Within the program you go to a apprenticeship workshop which helps you develop your skills as well as meeting all apprentices. You also go and work in a diffeeent store for a week, this is good as you can see that different stores work in different ways as well it’s a different work environment to work in and learn from.

9a. Would you recommend Superdrug to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

I think it’s such a good company to work for as you learn so much with different tasks you do. And also meeting loads of different people develops your communication skills. When working with your team gives you a feeling that you are with friends giving the best you can with the company as you all work together so well. I will definitely recommend Superdrug to anyone who wants to develop themselves and all different skills.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Superdrug?

To be yourself. Also show confidence and determination. Working hard and giving the best you can with tasks or helping customers is a really good skill to show and you want to give the customers the best experiences. Show that you can work well with your team as well as on your own. And most importantly have fun.
