  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is supporting Project Managers on various projects, from start to delivery of projects. My tasks on a day to day basis include gathering quotes, procuring products and services, developing plans to outline delivery of projects and invoicing orders. Also ensuring everything is tracked and we have a record of what has happened in the project thus far.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of new skills as well developing my currents skills since starting my apprenticeship. I have gone on courses to learn new skills such as conflict resolution and time keeping along wityh more hard skills such as specific project management skills. Also, I have developed my presenting skills over the course of the apprenticeship.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed the programme I'm on; I have been able to try a few different areas of the business to see what I enjoy but also what my skill set suits in terms of a role. I have been able to transfer learning from university to the workplace which has helped me settle in and perform my role to the best of my ability.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is fairly organised, there are specific days a week which are used for studying and is counted as the 20% off the job training. Usually, you can ask around to get answers about the programme and get advice on what needs to be done. The company and university work well to ensure the programme isn't to stressful to apprenitces.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received good support from my company, whether this be with regards to any extra training which could benefit me for my role or ensuring there is enough time to concentrate on your studies. There are plenty of colleagues to ask for help when it comes to the role or receiving mentoring support for studying.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider is fairly good at giving support, you can contact tutors with questions you have or if you require any fruther guidance, tutors will be at hand for support. Also, if there are any issues with the scheme there is a communication path we can follow to raise any issues.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think the training provided has helped in some of the roles I've done throughout my apprenticeship as it gives you the knowledge of why you do this and why we do that as well as providing a basis for some role functions. I prefer t learn from experience though.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are plenty of activities to get involved in at work. From organised social events such as drinks, gokarting etc to getting involved in the gym and joining bootcamp sessions with colleagues. There are also regular networking sessions which you can attend to help grow your network and understnad other employee journeys.

  • Yes

  • I would recommend Fujitsu because they are a company which really like to push its people and value them. They will support you in your career as long as you make the push and show desire to do the same. They're are a lot of experiences people to learn from and help you in your career journey.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
  • Ensure you understand Fujitsu's culture by reading up on their website or just searching the web on Fujitsu. As Fujitsu's culture and values are different from most companies. Also, I would ensure you practise interviews and just general comfortability with talking about yourself as this will help make a good impression.
