Surveyor Apprentice Review

MY role consists of learning and leading. As a surveyor, when a job/task is given to you, you must follow it through to the end. You are in charge of contacting the relevant people, getting the right paperwork and surveying what is required. you will always have someone with you and the could be a inexperienced surveyor whom you will be teaching and helping you or you will get a more experienced surveyor who can teach you new techniques to survey and show you easier methods to approach the task at hand.

i have learnt many new skills along developing my current skills. my communication and administrations skills have further developed overtime by continually speaking to emailing different engineers/colleagues. I also have learned new skills and have been on training courses whilst on my job, this allows me to be more useful in my role and my colleagues can count on me to help them out a lot more.

i enjoy my time here, it allows me to meet new people and learn new things. So i am continually learning and getting better day by day. i also get the chance to teach inexperienced workers who are looking into surveying which is a bonus. The team i work with is very friendly and they help me whenever i have any questions.

The organisation is structured very well in my programme. i get the right training and support that i need. i get handed tasks as lead surveyor which is gives me a more responsible role and my colleague help me with any troubles i may have so i don't feel lost.

i receive a lot of support from my employer. I always get asked if i get handed too much work load or if i have any troubles. Everyone's general attitude towards work is great and it is a friendly environment, good for everyone to work in. Our manager is very flexible and is towards work as long as you are working hard!

i receive a far amount of support, they help me with questions i have on assignments i get handed to me and they give me different links to support websites which will help me towards my studies. i enjoy it because it is different from work and is a day away in the office!

i feel my qualification pushes me to work harder and makes me more determined to achieve it so i can reach a higher level than i am now. Once i have achieved it, i would like to go further and further. my training provider makes sure everything in college or work is all good and if i have any doubts then i should call her to make sure everything is good.

In work we have meet after work every other Friday to socialise and relax and unwind. we get offers to voluntary events which we try to do and we help out our local community as much as we can. When i am not working i have a day to socialise with friend and relax and the other, i am making sure i am all up to date with my college assignments.

it is a good and friendly company. They will help you out as much they can and if you have any problems they will help you. They will help you out with your studies and if job wise, if you are looking for a different job they will help you along with any college queries.

i would say to relax and make sure you have prepped correctly and don't over exhaust yourself speaking. Try to be friendly and inviting, speak clear and try to make a laugh out if it and give out an impression, one that they will remember and make sure that you have a firm handshake, First impressions are the most important!
