  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • my roles involve, cleaning the workshop first thing in the morning, which is one of the many disciplines set by the service manager, after that I go work with someone on a job or get my own job, which follows the list of jobs I need job cards for so I can pass my qualification

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a range of skills from big engine jobs to little jobs such as replacing a bulb, I have also developed my knowledge and skills of working with vehicles, I have also worked with a lot of people who also do the jobs there way which enable me to develop a quicker more efficient way to complete these jobs

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my apprenticeship a lot and enjoy learning something new from a day to day basis and I love how it allows us to develop skills in other categories within the business such as sales, parts and admin as well as the workshop which allows us to decide how our futures can thrive in the business

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • very, everything is always organised and made sure we reach that qualification and gain all the knowledge behind our jobs which creates a more efficient way of learning such as our college blocks I thing it is good to know the theory side and are made enjoyable to go every time

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • a lot, people always make sure that if we need help with anything we can always ask anyone for help and will always point us in the right direction and always make sure we can talk to anyone if we are in a difficult time, and makes us feel like a family in the business

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • we are always reminded of the work we need for us to complete our training and will make sure if we are stuck they can get us where we need to be, such as wanted job cards or support, and make sure we can ask if something needs improving and make sure we remain happy in our jobs

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • knowing we have so much support behind us allows, us to feel more comfortable in our jobs and creates a better working environment and allows us to perform to our best abilities and allows us to gain more skills throughout the program because people are there to allow to the progress at your own pace

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • yes, sometimes the work has a day out for everyone to have a day together to build a better relationship with each other outside of work and also allows us to be ourselves with each other without the mind-set of working this can also progress your relationships with each other which creates a better working atmosphere

  • 9a. Would you recommend MOTUS Commercials to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • because the company always make you feel welcome from the very first day and are very easy to get along with and develop yourself as a more skilled person, and there is always a role for everyone here and no matter what that role is you can always ensure you will develop in that field


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MOTUS Commercials?
  • I would say that they are very lucky to gain an opportunity to work for imperial commercials and have always got a role for that person I would also say that they should not be nervous about starting new because people always make you feel like family from day 1
