  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • There are some issues with the programme that I am completing. The NVQ work days are well organised but the on the job training and platform we use to submit work isn't quite up to scratch. There are issues with getting us equipment and also with ensuring we have access to areas at the right time.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • the amount of support varies. We are given the time to complete the NVQ on training days. we can ask for extra days for completing paperwork tasks. we can also ask for time to help with taking photos of practical work. it can be difficult tho to get a range of on duty tasks to experience a range of tasks.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • the NVQ has helped in some ways. some tasks have no or little relevance to the role within which I work. some task help me to better understand the company and the industry within which I work such as the legal requirements but they don't help with my day to day role of splicing roles.
