  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is an Apprentice HR Administrator, on a day to day basis I would deal with Anchor employees, I send out references for ex employees and send out rewards / shopping vouchers to those who work for Anchor. Filing and creating ID badges for employees is also a part of my job role.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed many skills within these past few months. One being learning how to use Microsoft Excel, I had no experience with using Microsoft Excel until a few months ago and my job role requires me to use a lot of Excel everyday. i have also gained many other skills, my communication skills have improved has made me a lot more confident.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying my programme very much, I have learnt many new things since starting, things which I never thought id be learning. the individuals on my team are very supporting and are always there when I need help. I have gained a lot of experience and skills within the 3 months that have been here.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my programme is very well organized, my monthly meetings with my tutor are also very helpful. Everything is structured very well and i am very clear and understand fully what work/coursework needs to be completed within my apprenticeship. My workplace is also very well structured, weekly team meetings are very helpful and is an opportunity for everyone to talk about work and catch up on work together.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer, whenever I need help my employer and other colleagues are always there to help me. I know that my employer will continue to keep supporting me whenever I need any help. every month me and my employer have a catch up meeting where I can talk about any work or any problems that I have.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] from Babcock visits me every month, we have an hour meeting and within that hour I usually speak about my apprenticeship and she introduces me to any new units which i need to complete. I am clear on what is going on in my apprenticeship and what I need to be doing as my tutor always makes it very clear.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification which i will be getting after my apprenticeship is something which motivates me and encourages me to perfom better, the qualification which i will be getting at the end of my apprenticeship is something that would be very good for my future. I know that this qualification will help me tremendously In the futuer

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • so far i have been involved in an extra circular activity which involved gathering clothes/toiletries and food for the homeless. if there are any other opportunities in the future i will definitely be getting involved, I know that I will get the opportunity to go and visit the elderly living in Anchor homes and this is something which I would love to do.

  • Yes

  • my time so far at Anchor has been amazing, i enjoy the work that i do very much and the individuals i work with are very kind and helpful. Anchor is a place which would be great to work at. I would definitely recommend Anchor to a friend because the work that Anchor do for the vulnerable individuals is amazing.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Anchor Trust?
  • if you feel like Anchor is a work place which would be good for you then definitely give it a shot, there are many different job roles that Anchor have. you will definitely find something suitable for yourself. Working at Anchor is a very rewarding job as you are working to help the elderly.
