my Role is to do basic prep on the larder section, day to day I do main prep in the kitchen ready for service and during service I take rare if starters sharers and desserts. It’s a great opportunity for anyone and so fun to be in the kitchen Since the apprenticeship I have now became a chef de partie and the same venue and am forever progressing!
I have learnt so mant skills since I joined this apprenticeship, since joining I knew barely anything in the kitchen or how to make sauces but now I can confidently do any task given to me, follow specs individually and make dishes on my own with no questions asked I now run my own sections and help chefs below me with there work
I enjoy my apprenticeship so much, it should be something all young people interested in food should consider, you’d learn so much from this apprenticeship so many skills are learnt, the day release college are very good and helpful towards us as we learnt a lot to benefit in the kitchen
Fullers are a very organised programme and is very well run, everything flows appropriately and everyone in the company talk to eachother which helps the apprenticeship run okay, the structure of the apprenticeship is amazing with the one day college day on a Monday as a great bonus to us
Our employer is very helpful, they support us a lot where it’s needed, within welfare or any other type of concern they are always there to support us no matter what the matter is with us they’ll give us the support we need to help us through x
Our training provider, Havant and South Downs college support us so much with what we need, within college or out of college they offer the support to us to make sure that we succeed and pass the apprenticeship with fullers and
The qualification helps me in my role a lot and will be amazing in future out comes

I’d recommend this to anyone who has the smallest passion in cooking, I was unsure weather I did but as soon as I joined the course I knew I was made for this business and am now succeeding very well within the company with great opportunities ahead!
