  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is procurement based role which include a new vendor set up, (new supplier set up), tendering with suppliers, helping the location managers at Anchor care homes with any queries in regards to ordering goods and services from anchor approved suppliers or non approved suppliers as well. it is based on both email and phone call.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • In my job role I have learnt quiet a lot of skills which I never knew before I had this role. The new sills I have learnt include, how to set up a supplier, ( what we need etc), i now know much more about anchor than what i knew before aswell

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme i am doing at the moment a lot because it is very interesting and i would like to progress my career in the procurement, financial industry further. The things i enjoy in my job role at Anchor Hanover include Helping the Location managers when they are stuck on any querys in regards to ay procurement queries.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme as a procurement services admin apprenticeship is very structured and organized because the company who i am doing my apprenticeship with are Babcock and they are very helpful and with my course as i see my tutor every once a month and she helps me with all my exams.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer as they help me with my maths and my business admin support services level 2 course which i am doing. I have a unit to do every month as they are 12 units in total i complete each unit every time i see my tutor which is once a month

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I Receive all the support i need from my training provider as she has been very helpful and supportive through out my apprenticeship at anchor hanover. My weakness was maths as i never enjoyed it school because i didn't understand it but now that my training provider teaches me properly i understand it more which now makes me enjoy it

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel as though my qualification through my training provider which is babcock helps me to perform better in my role by giving me enough support and confidence in my exams which helps me be much more confident when i am doing my exam as i do not feel anxious any more at all

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there a lot of activities to get involved at in my work which include visiting all types of care homes, leaseholds, rental & extra care homes. By visiting these locations it gives me more of an idea of how the care homes work as anchor car homes are for residents diagnosed with Dementia

  • Yes

  • I feel as though my apprenticeship at Anchor Hanover has given me all the confidents i need in my exams and also working as procurement services admin. I really enjoyed my apprenticeship at anchor Hanover as i get to visit most the care homes in Bradford. i would definitely let my family and friends know that this is a great place to work.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Anchor Trust?
  • The tips and advice i would give other people applying for anchor Hanover is that it is a amazing place to work for someone who has just left school, or someone who would like to join the care home industry or even someone who has just completed their health and social care it would be great for them.
