1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

8/10

As team assistant appreciate my day to day task fluctuate. I work directly under a Senior Vice President of our department and I am responsible for a number of things ranging from administration tasks to events organisation as well as everything in between. As team assistant apprentice you have your hands in a number of projects which not only keeps your busy but allows you to see and understand a number of aspects of the business.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

6/10

My apprenticeship has allowed me to develop a number of skills. It has allowed me to fully understand how to use programmes such as Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. On top of this, I have learned how to properly present yourself in a professional environment and the importance of networking. This apprenticeship has allowed me to fully understand how businesses run and operate on both a national and international level.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

9/10

I am thoroughly enjoying doing an apprenticeship here at Warner Bros. Working for such a large well-renowned company has given me a great insight into the working world. I feel fully supported and my team ensures that I have a comfortable/happy working environment which is fundamental to me transitioning into the corporate world after completing sixth form.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

8/10

The structure of the programme is organised very well. Everyone on my team (and throughout the company) fully understands that as an apprentice you have other work to do. Everyone is keen to make sure you get the most out of your experience and does all they can to ensure you feel supported. Warner Bros. offers a range of sessions for apprentices to further develop their knowledge.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

9/10

In extremely large companies it is easy for young people (apprentices) to be put at the backbencher of the organisation however Warner Bros goes above and beyond to ensure that apprentices are getting proper training and experience to enable me to fully develop and flourish. Every single person on my team is willing to sit down and explain what they require from you and make sure they are providing you with the support you require from them. I have full confidence that I will be well equipped wherever my career takes me in the future.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

7/10

I enjoy working with my training provider (WhiteHat) as they do all they can to ensure my experience is fully enjoyable and there are lots of opportunities for me to learn both in and outside of a classroom environment. They try to do their best to ensure apprentices do not feel as if they are missing out on the uni experience and as a result offer a range of programmes that are not exclusive to your qualification but also linked to networking, personal presentation, public speaking and much more!

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

6/10

My qualification enables me to perform to better in my role as I am constantly learning skills which enable me to develop within my position. Although some things taught are not directly in line with what I do on a day to day basis, a large percentage of it is. Also, sessions with my coach and my line manager allow me to discuss how I believe i can better align the two.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

8/10

As Warner Bros has so many apprentices and interns they are dedicated to making sure you get the most out of your experience. They have some sporting events which you can take part in. They also put on screenings of the latest films for all the staff to watch. They have regular events which give apprentices and interns the chance to get to know each other and other full-time members of staff.

9a. Would you recommend Warner Bros. to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

I would strongly recommend Warner Bros to a friend! Working for Warner Bros has provided me with strong insight into the working world. I have had such a great time so far which I know will only continue. I am a member of a fantastic team who are fully understanding of my role as an apprentice and I look forward to what the future here holds!

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Warner Bros.?

Be yourself!

Warner Bros has a ton of apprentices from all different backgrounds. They understand that not everyone has had experience working in a corporate company, as long as you're willing to learn and work hard then you'll be fine! It's a great opportunity and you shouldn't feel put off by the scale of the company. The application process is really simple and they make you feel super comfortable all throughout your assessment day.

Best of luck!
