  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • • Assisting finance team in preparation of month-end financial statements. • Forecast submissions – assisting finance team in preparation of monthly Home Entertainment and Theatrical forecasts. • Assisting finance team in price checking Digital royalty statements • Assisting finance team in processing Digital POS data • Assisting finance team in on-going systems support (Salesforce, Mediamorph, SAP & Marvin) • Completion of ad hoc franchise tracking documents across all formats for Lego, DC & Wizarding World. • Ulitmate’s/Polling – Prepare documents for review & liaise with Marketing before submission to Head Office, • Preparing and analysing month end management reports for Home Ent & Theatrical. • Collate and analyse data on commercial projects within Home Entertainment with direction from Commercial Finance Manager. • Assisting with ITC queries for Home Entertainment when required. • Assist with Local Royalties Statement reporting. • Other Ad-hoc tasks as requested.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • You can gain a range of different skills and qualities. I learnt, in particular, these skillsmExcel Skills, Financial System knowledge, Business mindset, Business Awareness. Time management, Planning, Confidence, Work well under stress. I also have discovered analytical skills and ability to transfer certain skills listed above to different parts of my roles

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • There is a lot of things to enjoy about my programme. The people are one of the main reason which makes the programme enjoyable. When the programme is slow and time-consuming. People around you are there to push you through with support. My colleague always has fascinating would you rather question to get me through the day.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme has its flexibility and as well as it is structured. They understand that apprentice requires a lot of time to do work as well as time to need help and assistance from the provider. This is accomplished by giving monthly reviews and monthly visits to us. This helps me significantly in my programme

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employers are very helpful bunch they enable me to be the best of me I can possibly be. They push you to exceed what you normally think would be your limit. Without my employer, I wouldn't be able to be where I am now. I am very grateful for where I am now.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a significant amount of help from LDN Apprenticeships. They enable me to perform the best and motivate me by having something in place called apprentice of the month which only the best of the best apprentices are nominated. They also support me by having a monthly visit and any queries I can use Slack to talk to them.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My course links to my job role to a certain degree. This is because my course is an IT system kind of course which links with Financial systems and analytics, however. I don't believe it to link other than that. I do enjoy the qualification, but in my career, IT is something I don't want to pursue

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Warner Bros has a variety of different extra-curricular activities. There are staff movie screenings for new release movies. We also have company days out to understand the company goals for the year. There is also VR activities where you can witness what VR is and play Batman. We also have a Learning and Development team to assist all apprentices with time off the job.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Warner Bros is such a cool place and just so many benefits from the outside point of view. One of the best benefits is the ability to watch new screenings and get free movies when they get released. You also would have a great CV as you have worked for a multi-billion company.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to WarnerMedia?
  • You have to be intelligent and proactive in your business life (e.g started a business or something that relates to the field.) You have to be the best and different. The competition to get in here is very competitive. You need to be able to stand out and make sure they witness you compared to anyone else
