  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I have to complete my logging task then complete set ups and complete a deal appraisal form for each customer I set up in order to provide a credit check for the company. I Then create an opportunity on sales force system and ensure my account managers can see the opportunity to price and then send to the customer.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned many new skills especially in IT as my day to day work involves using programmes like excel and models to use for data when patching data for an MPAN. I also have gained many communication skills as I have to communicate with my colleagues and managers everyday via phone email or in person.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy my programme as I am gaining experience from the floor work in my day to day role. As there are so many opportunities in the business I am pleased that I have the freedom to sit and learn with other people. Also with my apprenticeship development coach I am learning ways to link my work roles to the tasks given in my apprenticeship modules.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe my programme has a strong structure which has been put in place recently during the beginning of the programme there were some confusing parts which were difficult to understand, however with the addition of a simplified plan it has become a lot more clear alongside a development coach which is supportive and has a clear understanding of the stages I should be at to complete my apprenticeship

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer and am always given the freedom to gain knowledge in areas where I do not currently work, I feel that there are many opportunities given by my employer and my employer will help me persue my career path whichever way I feel Id like to go.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel like I am receiving the right guidance and help from my apprenticeship provider. I am encouraged to complete tasks and given fixed dates to complete certain tasks we also discuss the tasks with my colleagues during the day my apprenticeship development coach arrives. She ensures tasks are made clear and that any work which needs corrections is given to me.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My training provider asks me questions which make me explain how my job role links to the written work which we are given for example I have recently learned about stakeholders and now I can understand all the different type of stakeholders which I deal with on a day to basis.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At the moment there are opportunities from work which are work related such as we can offer ourselves to help out in different areas. There are also some event which go on in summer which involve groups to partake in fun sports activities as a way of group work and a chance to have fun.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would definitely recommend eon to a friend because the workplace is only full of friendly people which are all willing to help I have never felt any hesitation to approach someone due to the positivity in my workplace as well as this there are so many opportunities to get into and you are not limited to only one place as you can progress further depending on your role preference


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON?
  • advice I would give is to be yourself and not feel that if you do not have the right requirements its not always the case as if you come across as a genuine hard working person willing to learn and progress then that is what eon look for in their new apprentices and you will be welcomed in the workplace
