  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Counter, taking peoples money and putting it into their accounts, depositing cheques, paying bills, providing excellent customer service and exceeding customers expectations. Providing customers with more information on credit cards/loans and refering them to a personal banker when appropriate. Balancing tills at the end of the day making sure they are correct.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i have developed many more skills which include commincation skills and confidence. I am also more wary and cautious when handling money and making sure everything is correvct for the customer so no mistakes are made. I have also developed listening skills as this is very important in a bank

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme, i have only just started but everything seems very professional and also well structured. I like how you can learn as you go and taking 20% out of your day for the apprenticehsip is really helpful and also makes things easier to get done as you have more time.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • So far it is well structured, i am yet to meet my trainer however i have been given the appropriate workbooks to be getting on with by myself, this has been really hekpful as it has given me and insight to what i will be doing and how much i need to learn.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I so far have recieved a lot of support, especially as we are only a small branch with not many employers, howeveer i still can fit in my work and get the 20% maxiumum work done and this is really helpful. I know i can go to my employer for help

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I am yet to meet with my training provider however have had emails confiriming my workbooks and also my reflective learning journey. They have provided me with a trainer who is now much more local to the area so it is easier for me to stay in touch with her.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think its good how you gain a qualification out of the apprenticheip in finacial services as this looks amazing on your CV and also provides a lot more knowledge to the job as you are learning more about finacial services and what it involves. This is really helpful for me.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • i dont know if there is any extra activities, i hgave only been here for a few months so hopefully that is something i will later gain more information about and more knowledge. this is something that i would be intrested in as it is good to do other things alongside.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would reccomend this to people i know, this is because not only is it a great career step, you are also learning alongisde side it and gaining a qualification, it is especially good for people that have jsut left school and are unsure to what they are doing for the future.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • The tips and advice i would give to someone applying is to completley be yourself and dont put on and act. Make sure you have relevant customer service skills and talk about them as this shows that you have the experience for the job. Another tip is to look presentable and smart.
