  • Yes, new skills learn about a vast array of different signalling equipment. How to perform various tests and tasks in accordance with the signalling maintenance specs.

  • Very highly, thoroughly enjoyed

  • Well structured, some of the Westwood stuff could be more condensed I feel as there were periods where there was little to do with no extension work

  • All the support you could need

  • Training and support was to high standard, support was very good

  • The qualifications allowed a greater awareness of the rail environment before being placed at depot

  • High standard of training, very good company benefits, thoroughly recommended


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Network Rail?
  • Don't hesitate! You can't go wrong with a NWR apprenticeship, best decision I have ever made personally speaking
