On the average day we run and wire cable into components within naval ships and learn to do so in a safe and mindful manner, we are also trained to the 18th edition and we wire things according to regulations stated in the rules associated with this course and the teachings I have learned in college.

I have learned to wire and run cables according to the 18th edition and have learned many testing and evaluation procedures within college that will allow me to install and check my own work to make sure that the work I am putting in place are up to acceptable standards.

I have enjoyed the program very much and have gained valuable experiences in college and in and about the work place that will help towards me obtaining a completion of my apprenticeship.

I think the structure of the apprenticeship scheme is good but like everything it could use more structure, more information about what is happening inside the yard and what we will be doing once 2e enter the yard would ne nice but overall the structure is very good and is suitable for what it needs to be.

I recieve more than adequate support for my employer in any and all matters that I have brought up to them. I have also have lots of talks with many different department of the business lettinhnme know who I should talk to if I am in nee of a specific type of support.

The college and BAE Systems are both constantly checking up on our progress and how we are getting on with out academic work and how we are progressing towards completion of the basic requirements of our apprenticeship.

I feel that my qualifications are helping me to achieve what I nee to in order to progress with my role and in doing so I hope to learn more about other parts of the business and become overall more experienced in my role and have an understanding of the roles of those around me.

Yes in my wolr the now we have an apprentice council who sometimes organise a few different charity type events for employees and apprentice to both participate in if we would like to and also there are other activities available like small games of football and other sports groups within the company.

They have an excellent reputation withings the fields they work and this transfers over to the people who work with them and they also have a wide variety of ways in which you can progress yourself in the company that could lead to promotions or even a change in job role all together.

It is important that if you are interested in applying for a role eith bae systems that you understand the type of work you will be asked to carry out an you are happy to do so and that you dont have any problem talking to people as you will work with a wide variety of people and business roles.
