  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Although I am a project manager apprentice, I do mainly carry our admin roles. I answer emails, help my team with additional tasks, deal with customers. I do work on a variety of projects weekly, however these are fairly small projects. I do actually own one of the projects however, it is fairly small.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • In my area, I do not believe there is anything. I have posted on the Siemens Social networking Site to find out if there are any activities or extra-curricular activities to get involved in but there did not seem to be. I did suggest a Shadow board for apprentices to sit and shadow management and those in higher positions for experience but also to be given the chance to voice opinions from an apprentice point of view but nothing of such thing has been organised.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • Work hard, complete college work and training work when it is required as all the effort and hard work you put into the apprenticeship will pay off. Another tip would be to know what you want to achieve and get out of Siemens as this will with your direction and where you want to position/ see yourself in the future.
