  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • My work experience involved many tasks aimed at pushing my limits and boundaries such as data analysis, speech writing and presenting. It was a week long and was led by an array of professionals differing each day based on the itinerary of that specific day, such as an auditing specialist.

  • 2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
  • I learnt many skills during the week as the leader of the programme ensured the activities were engaging and varied. I learnt many aspects of the company Deloitte and how the business is ran, whilst also learning communication skills through group work and presenting. I also learnt specific skills such as consulting and auditing.

  • 3. To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?
  • I greatly enjoyed the work experience as it was jam packed and pushed my limits constantly. Everyday was a new experience and definitely left the week more confident and knowledgeable. Furthermore, the selection of students were great and the were all hard working and fun to work with. thank you!

  • 4. How well organised was your work experience?
  • The work experience was very well organised as they obviously had placed lots of emphasis in the engaging and depth of the week. I was always sure as to what was going to happen due to Deloitte employing a full time assistant to the week, that showed months of preparation in the week.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • I learnt a good amount about the company culture and what it would be like to work there because they made sure to bring actual professionals to lead activities related to their work and talk to us about their roles withing the company and their path to their current job with the different possible pathways.

  • 6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • The work experience did not explicitly help me with deciding my career path as I was already quite sure that it would be something similar to what Deloitte were offering, however it did solidify my interest and help me understand the specific departments that interested me, narrowing down my options.

  • 7. Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?
  • For the entirety of the work experience I was not paid for the work I completed, and any help I may have offered. Instead I was reimbursed for the travel expenses that I had to spend to get to the Central London location including trains and tubes that I took form my house.

  • There were many opportunities to network and meet other employees due to the perfect organisation. These included during activities where employees would help with the tasks and specific networking periods including question and answer parts of the day. There I was able to network and meet other employees during the week

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Deloitte to a friend because it is an amazing professional work place that encourages creativity and hard work. It was well organised, beautifully presented and nailed down to a tee. My friends would definitely enjoy the week as much as I did so I would definitely recommend it to them.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?
  • To other people applying to Deloitte, I would give specific advice to them and emphasise the need for personality and creativity with a strong character that would highlight yourself as a hard working individual. They should also apply quickly as the places are incredibly competitive so will not stay around for long!
