  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • my job role in this company is to provide assistance to customers via telesales or either in-house communication regarding the sale of commercial van or truck parts. i also help to give assistance when needed in the warehouse for picking parts or putting away stock orders, and the upkeep of the department.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my knowledge in this trade regarding motor parts, and how to locate these on a truck or van. My telesales skills have also been tested and have grown extensively in the aspects of speaking to the customers and upselling certain products to them or selling our Max voucher campaign.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme as I find it very enlightening and it has helped to expand my knowledge regarding parts in the motor industry. I have also had the opportunity to visit Leyland, where you can observe how the trucks are made from scratch, and just how much work goes into one.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my programme is fairly organised, however I feel that more work could be given to us to help us to progress within the apprenticeship. the structure of the programme is quite good as we get to go out and see visually how trucks are made and how the parts come together.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] at imperial commercials is my provider and they are always happy to help with any questions that I have. they support me in my work and also if I have any questions which I have or worries. they are always happy to go the extra mile for all of their employees.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel as though I should be challenged more within my apprenticeship in certain aspects on this course. however the support my training provider provides to me is very good as she is always on time and never fails to answer any questions that I have regarding this programme and apprenticeship.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that this qualification will help me extensively within this industry and has given me the knowledge to progress further. you also gain other skills such as maths and English, and get the chance to go on many other courses to improve your skills within this trade of work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • we help to support local charities on a monthly basis by helping to raise money through activities. we also have a donation box where at Christmas or easter we can donate presents to the elderly or children which live locally in the area or at our local hospital or Nursing home

  • Yes

  • I feel that this apprenticeship Is very enlightening and for someone to come into this trade of work with no background in the motor trade, it provides a very good starting point. the support from both the company and Skillnet is very good and they are always happy to help.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MOTUS Commercials?
  • always approach any job with an open mind and be willing to ask for help and tasks on a daily basis. this company treats their employees very well and are always happy to lend a helping hand and help you to progress further in the trade and also your skills
