  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • We travel around the different engineering departments experiencing the different roles in the company this involves going to meetings travelling to other sites and doing any other jobs that we are given to complete. We are on flexi-time so we can come and go as we please as long as we get our hours. We then have a task set which we can carry on with for the majority of the day if we have nothing else on.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Again when speaking to my assessor he asks us if college is going ok and if we need any help. if we say yes or if we are struggling they can look into solutions to help us such as having extra tuition. they also speak to the college weekly to ask them if everything is going okay with us all.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Doing an engineering qualification at college is beneficial to the workplace as we do maths at college when we go into certain departments like structures we need to apply the maths we learn in college. we also gain a better understanding of the technical side to engineering which helps us when going into different placements.
