1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

10/10

My apprenticeship involves me rotating around four different teams. I get to learn a wide range of areas including income, reconciliations, corporate actions and transaction processing. My daily tasks typically involve me liaising with custodians, problem solving and dealing with a number of financial products. As well as this, I also get time to study for my exams.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

10/10

I have learnt a wide variety of new skills. For example, how to manage my time effectively with work and study, how to process a number of financial products and how to liaise with custodians in a professional manner. I have developed my confidence as it I have learnt it is so important to raise queries and not be afraid to ask for any help.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

10/10

I thoroughly enjoy the programme I am on. This is because I am given 20% off the job learning. This enables me to have time to study on top of my work load and also allows me to go to events where I can develop my skills, such as public speaking.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

10/10

My apprenticeship programme is very organised. I have an apprentice coach who I have regular meetings with and this helps me with my studying and course work. Also, my managers are very considerate when I need to study and let me take the 20% off the job I need. I also have a HR representative who I can go to with any apprentice queries.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

10/10

I receive a lot of support from my employer. As I rotate around teams, I do have two managers but they are both very supportive with my work and my studying. I have regular 1-2-1s with my manager which gives me a change to raise any questions I may have.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

10/10

My training provider provides a lot of support. We have regular meetings regarding the apprenticeship. They help me with course work material and how to study. Also, they ensure we are getting the 20% off the job and that we are content with our daily jobs. They help a lot.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

10/10

It helps me to perform better because it is someone you can talk to outside the company who is also very willing to help you and wants you to succeed. Also, the qualification includes a lot of what I do in my day to day job, which helps me to understand my job more.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

10/10

There are a few extra-curricular activities. As an apprentice we are entitled to go to professional networking events and training sessions which will benefit us as individuals. Also, M&G have football teams and sponsored runs which the employees can take part in. Their are also ski trips which is run specifically for apprentices.
