  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I review cases for customers and review their account activity. I make decisions about if the activity is what we expect to see, is there are concerns regarding what I have found and if there is what the suggested next steps should be. This is on a case by case basis. My work is very interesting and I really enjoy working at Lloyds

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned a wide range of new skills from how to structure and prepare for performance review meetings, how to manage my time more efficiently, how to manage myself and my future goals and career. I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to gain qualifications whilst doing my job

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Some aspects of my programme I really enjoy and my employer have been extremely supportive in making sure I get the right amount of time out to complete the required evidence and examples for my apprenticeship. The area I've not enjoyed as much is the support from the learning provider. My assessor has changed multiple times and this has impacted on my apprenticeship

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My assessor XXX is really good. He is very organised and helpful. The learning provider are not so structured. I have had 4 assessors in 1 year which has certainly impacted on my apprenticeship. I do feel a bit more consistency would really have helped. Based on my current assessor I would score this section 10/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • AMAZING!! Time and support are always available whenever I need them. My line manager has experience of the apprenticeship programme by managing a few apprentices so has been nothing short of wonderful. I would really recommend Lloyds as an employer . There is a lot of training and a good working environment also

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My assessor is great, he structures each of the sessions, we agree what activities and evidence I will provide before each session and by organising this together I have completed all of the activities before the deadline for completion, given there was a 3 month delay at the start this is perfect

    10/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I've proved my commitment to the apprenticeship and my development and I feel this qualification and experience has helped me to perform strongly within my role. I am now more structured and focussed and this can only be having a positive impact on my performance on a day to day basis

    10/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, I recently participated in the great Scottish run which is a sponsored 10k run, my employer also matched the amount of funds I raised. There are regular professional networking opportunities within my office and I am looking forward to attending my first session in the next couple of weeks

    10/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Really good employer who do the right things for their customers and the staff. I feel particularly proud of our work with Mental Health UK and how we are considering the needs of a wide range of potential customers and sitting with them to understand their challenges and how we can help to resolve these

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • Do some research ahead of your interview, think about structured answers which should be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time driven. The more you prepare the better the process is. Also let your personality come through in the interview as recruiters want to see the real you. Definitely apply, you won't regret it
