  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am trying to sell for Softcat. That means finding new customers by Cold calling and emailing and also selling to existing customers as and when they have renewals or request for quotes. I have a list of accounts that are currently trading and i try and prospect opportunities through these most days by calling through the accounts.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have become a lot more confident by calling people everyday that i may have never spoke to before and have no idea how they are going to react or what the person will be like on the call. My problem solving skills have developed with being presented many problems every day in and out.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I have training every two weeks. Once a month with Natural and once with Remit. The training is very well organised and useful in my day to day job. I have a 1-1 session with my Apprenticeship manager each week where we review the previous week, successes and fall backs and work out how i will over come problems or issues i may have.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training is very useful and we do regularly receive emails updating us on what we need to do to achieve the best pass grade we can. They are always on stand by for us if we call or email and can whelp us where ever we need them too.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Trying to write 50 words for each question which are basically repeats from earlier questions is becoming quite difficult i cant lie. But yes the qualification with the training involved and stages we need to go through to achieve this qualification is definitely beneficial to our roles in Softcat Plc.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The workplace is definitely the best office working environment i could imagine. Up beat and everyone is friendly. The extra curricular Jazz is out of this world and the culture is FAB. The pay is decent with prosperous progression with the years and of course the partys are nuts.
