1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I was within the law team conducting research o. Tasks that were given to me such as researching the laws and regulations of GDPR and also I was looking at contracts and understanding how they written and the need of them as well as the protection it provides for a client

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I experienced the real world of work and how every day would be like in an office it helped to develop my research skills and allow me to a form a clear personal judgement on certain situations or regulations

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed the programme because it gave me actual work and gave me a taste of the company it self. However I would have enjoyed to do far more because I felt as though I hadn’t got enough work

4. How valued do you feel by EY?

I felt very valued everyone praises you for your work as well as giving you constructive feedback to be able to improve later on so you feel like you are an important asset to the company and appreciated for the role you’re in.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme was very well structured there was clear timetable and what had to be done or where meetings would be held so everything was very well organised

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

We have a mentor for 10 months after we leave so the support is amazing they help with all problems you may encounter. During the work experience there was always someone to help and explain tasks so I felt vaulpoeted by everyone

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have a 10 month mentor so I receive a lot of support especially when I’m unsure of my future choices whether to study further or go for an apprenticeship

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

The pay was very good considering the min wage and it covered my cost fairly well, given that I had to travel into London everyday

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

There are many events from the company they do invite you back for further support for university or even charity events or focusing on minorities or even equality in the workplace

9. Would you recommend EY to a friend?

Yes

It was a very good experience that taught more about the real world of work then my college ever managed to

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?

Be prepared to work hard and take it seriously because if you do come back these people will remember you and your attitude towards work.
