  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • For the first two weeks, we were doing classroom based learning and essentially being trained and the third week, I was a part of the Learning and Development team where I learned how to conduct myself at work and I carried on developing skills I had gained in the first 2 weeks.

  • I developed my communication and teamwork skills whilst also learning how to be a good team leader.

  • It exceeded my expectations and I got a lot more out of it than I thought I was going to.

  • I felt like I was really valued and everyone treated me as their equal.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • All the training, the induction day and classroom based learning flowed into preparing me for my work experience in the final week so overall it was very well organized.

  • Everyone had a positive attitude and were happy to answer my questions and they were easily accessible if I needed help or guidance.

  • They provided a lot of training and were happy to offer guidance or help when I needed it.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I think the salary was a bit low however, it was higher than the minimum pay for a 16 year old.

  • So far, I haven’t received much opportunities outside of work.

  • Yes

  • It was so worth the time and the skills and knowledge you gain are so valuable and are all transferable to whatever career pathway and individual wants to take.

  • Make sure that their application is detailed to ensure a good chance of being accepted on to the programme
