  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Resourcing - social media - I work within the resourcing team, on their social media channels to raise their profile and credibility to get people to join the business. I post daily across our social media platforms, such as Linked In, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. I work with an external company called 'Chatter communications' who help with employee branding to attract, recruit and engage the very best talent.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am part way through my degree in business management, which I am studying at Bradford University. I have learned many skills within my time at Morrisons, such as time management, how to lead meetings, how to deal with customers and external businesses. I have also had many training courses within Morrisons.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying the work a lot as it is something I am truly interested in. I have a great team around me and the early careers team who are supporting me every step of the way. The scheme has been higher than my expectations, as I have come to realise how good of an opportunity it is.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Morrisons?
  • I feel valued from Morrisons, as there has been a lot of responsibility handed to me with looking after the businesses image across social media platforms. I am supported well by my manager and colleagues as they all want me to succeed within Morrisons.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is good as we get a lot of exposure to different areas of the business yearly when we change placements.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive a lot of support and guidance as we have monthly catch ups to make sure everything is okay, and if there is anything I want to ask.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my manager as I have weekly meetings, to go over the weeks task and discuss new opportunities.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary is good, but I commute every day, which takes around an hour 15 mins, which has proven running a car costs a lot. I would recommend moving closer to the workplace to save time and money.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are plenty of events going on all the time outside of work, such as Summer BBQs, Christmas team meals, 5-a-side football with colleagues etc.

  • Yes

  • As it is a great environment to work in and there is endless opportunity


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Morrisons?
  • I would be yourself in the interviews and assessment days, be confident and get across how you could make a difference in the business.
