  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • • Seeing through the entire recruitment process for my designated areas of the business as well as niche head office roles. • Managing the loading and tracking of all vacancies and reporting on recruitment data. • Maintaining data integrity on recruitment statistics and within (ATS) Talentlink. • Assisting with the booking/sitting of interviews. • Pro-actively managing internal and external job postings. • Monitoring the recruitment mailbox and actioning queries accordingly. • Processing recruitment related Purchase Orders and tracking invoices in a timely manner. • Participating in project initiatives to improve Recruitment practices and procedures. • Taking responsibility for the initial screening of candidates where requested. • Coordinating group interviews, recruitment days/fairs and open evenings. • Candidate liaison and administering candidate experience surveys. • Administration and coordination of candidate related testing. • Acting as a liaison to recruitment agencies when required. • Acting as the first point of contact for agencies and external suppliers. • Gathering hiring manager and candidate feedback post interviews and keeping candidates informed on the status of their application.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy the work I do, I feel like a develop and learn every single day. My team are incredible, they are very supportive and are always willing to assist me and explain things that I may not understand. They have given me lots of responsibility which has really helped with my confidence.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by The AA?
  • I have recently been nominated for an internal recognition award. I received congratulations from my team and the wider team. It is a lovely feeling knowing that your colleagues are recognising the work you are doing. It makes me want to work even harder. I have also be finalised for a wider AA award for Apprentice of the year. I am very proud to have even of been nominated let alone finalised. I feel extremely appreciated.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is a very well structured programme. I feel as if I always no what I have done, what I am doing and what I will be doing. This is all monitored through my own portal as well as regular updates and discussions with my assessor. If I am struggling in a particular area my assessor makes me aware immediately and we sit and make a plan on how I can develop in this area.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My tutor is fantastic. I have a face to face meeting every month to discuss my progress, any issues I am having and coursework I can complete, despite the fact that they are based 5 hours away. I have a remote call every week to again discuss how I am progressing, outstanding work I may have and any issues. I am constantly set work and receiving constructive feedback.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a tremendous amount of support from my employer. They are very involved in my apprenticeship coursework and the progress I am making on the programme, anything that I made need to help me complete work that is given to me, whether this is time out of my daily responsibilities or sitting with specific teams that may develop my understanding in certain areas. This also goes for the wider team, they are very patient and understanding if I make an error and genuinely want me to do well.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Due to my recent promotion my salary has helped me meet me costs a little more. It is liveable.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is an amazing company, the culture and dynamism is second to none. It feels more like being part of a family, an incredible support system. The staff are always willing to assist each other and the opportunity to progress is high.

  • - Be yourself - Be patient - Be open to constructive criticism - Be open minded and positive - Fully explain each point you are making - Confidence is key
