  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Audit and Assurance, associate. Daily tasks can vary due to the differing clients I am currently on. With certain clients I will be given more senior roles due to being within the firm for two years where as on others I will be expected to perform the tasks of my grade. These are expressed to me through management and assistant managers. Responsibilities have increased currently as I have developed my skills and understanding of certain clients and also gained the experience while working within large and small teams.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?
  • I feel that managers on the job i have been working on are always keen to praise the team when the performance quality is high. Along with this the internal recognition system i feel is effecitive with the use of limelights and any other ways (audit meals) that the manager sees fit. Deloitte are able to recognise good working ethic along with making the team feel value when they have went over and above internal and external expectations.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel that the programme has been well structured from the internal office and thus i have been giving the appropriate time to perform the tasks required while also studying effectively. The induction event was useful and gave the brighstarts a good head start as to the expectations as a firm however, i feel that when the event combined with the graduates the lines between expecations then were all combined. The local office has managed to distinguish these while also allowing brightstarts to fufil their full potential.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I fell that the salary grade for an R2 is effetive. As a school leave the pay meets the requirements to the task and thus i feel that the salary and also any bonus package can be effective and work through.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I have been giving the opportunity to work through recruitment events and also other activities that i had not expected. The events also i have attended have been benificial to the local clients and also thus gave me a good understanding. Before working i was in a local school and furthermore, i have been able to attend events and universities to help the students gain an understanding of deloitte and accountancy advice during workshops.

  • 9. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Due to the office environment and also the training and development opportunities throughout my time here.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?
  • I would reccomend that the new recruit looks into the deloitte process and also the deloitte stance on global actions. Throughout the interview stage it was evident that deloitte are looking for the correct person and thus being yourself is a key stage.
